Adult male face(10/25/2014). Location : Pemangong, Lanangguar, Sumbawa, province of West Nusatenggara, Indonesia

An interesting beautifull common dragonfly for a male : red - purple full body. Crimson - Marsh Glider, how s the English populare named. The face (eyes) is reddish, thorax and abdomen is red fine - brown median lateral black markings.

Adult male(12/1/2018). Location : Tiu Kulit, Simu, Maronge, Sumbawa, province of West Nusatenggara, Indonesia

The female is looking similar for seen by the male of immature (sub - adult, but the abdomen of female is more black.  There s no moment to the immature (sub - adult) of species. Same like to the female of iliciana, aurora may get looking little tailed and more transparency of wings.

Here s not for the Immature (sub - adult) frame species. The active character of individual. The species of aurora seen for a pair to the mountain branched canal for grassy. For the observation one, just only meet the male no female to the drying river (savanna) as an interesting join with the other libellulidae : Orthretum, Diplacodes, etc. There s a kind partly area to the specifical playing for the aurora or no ??
